How can my therapist help me improve my self esteem?
Stressors, such as work-related challenges, relationship conflicts, health issues, or major life transitions, can lead to feelings of inadequacy, self-doubt, and reduced self-worth. In therapy, we will work together to identify the underlying causes of low self-esteem, which may include past experiences, negative self-talk, or self-criticism. Through a combination of cognitive-behavioral techniques, self-compassion exercises, and positive affirmations, I assist clients in challenging and reframing their negative beliefs about themselves. We focus on setting achievable goals and celebrating small victories, boosting self-efficacy and confidence. Additionally, I encourage self-acceptance and self-compassion, helping clients recognize their inherent worth. Together, we develop a personalized plan to build a healthier self-esteem foundation, fostering greater self-assurance and resilience in their journey towards a more positive self-concept.
